STEAMtrax is dedicated to providing ALL children with hands-on experience in engineering design. Our learning modules illustrate fundamental science and engineering principles using CAD/CAM, 3D printing and robotics design and fabrication. We do this all IN SCHOOL with NGSS (nationally aligned) curricula which empowers teachers to guide engineering education. Our cost, including state-of-the-art 3D printing equipment, is less than 10 dollars per student. Our mission is to open STEM fields to the full diversity of talented children in our communities, creating the next generation of job makers.
The Palisades Highschool is building a STEAM Shop offering classes in electronics, programming and technology entrepreneurship, providing a new pathway for underserved students to enter technology careers. In partnership with Symbiobotics, Pali’s Advanced Robotics course focuses on Humanitarian Engineering where students learn to build DIY robotics that solve real-world problems. The humanitarian engineering project has made it into the final round of the MIT InvenTeams competition and the project leads will spend a week at MIT this June!
